Methodology

We try to be clear about what is confirmed, what someone claims, and what remains uncertain. When how we know something matters to the story, we say so.

We publish when a development matters for Ghana, or for Ghana’s place in the world, and when we can add something useful beyond repeating what is already circulating.

We check claims against the best evidence we can find, attribute contested statements, and take care with numbers, images, and sensitive subjects.

When new information changes a story, we update it. When we get a material fact wrong, we correct it. See Corrections.
